Oak Herringbone Dining Table

A dining table made from solid red oak, made to seat 4-6 people.

The design for this table went through several iterations to meet the clients needs. All of the initial designs were 3d modeled to demonstrate ideas and proportions.

The table legs are an A-frame joined with mortise and tenons and structural bolts. This creates a strong base that can be taken apart for transport should it need to be moved in the future.

The top was made from solid red oak laid out in a herringbone pattern. It was finished in a durable semi-gloss lacquer.

The table was made to sit 4-6 people depending on how it’s oriented in the clients dining room.
